2 Corinthians 7
- “Since we have these promises..” what did God promise?
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:16b-18 ESV)
The promise of God is fellowship with God.
- “.. let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit”
Lord, give me Eyes to see the things that needs to be cleansed in my life. Courage to obey, Strength to persevere, and Discernment against the tricks and the lies that try to separate me from you.
Side note:
In our relationship with God, Obedience and Trust go together. They cannot be separated.
My obedience means nothing if there is no trust. My trust means nothing if I do not obey.
