Remember, Give thanks, Sing, Make known, Seek continually

2 Corinthians 7

• “Since we have these promises..” what did God promise?

  “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:16b-18 ESV)

  The promise of God is fellowship with God.

• “.. let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit”

  Lord, give me Eyes to see the things that needs to be cleansed in my life. Courage to obey, Strength to persevere, and Discernment against the tricks and the lies that try to separate me from you.

Side note:
In our relationship with God, Obedience and Trust go together. They cannot be separated.

My obedience means nothing if there is no trust. My trust means nothing if I do not obey.

Isaiah 10

• Those who deceive and take advantage of God’s people, will face judgement. They have nowhere to flee, and their wealth cannot help them.
• God is able to move kings and armies, even those worship idols, how much more can he move managers, bosses or presidents?
• “Shall the axe boast over him who hews with it, or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it? As if a rod should wield him who lifts it, or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood! (Isaiah 10:15 ESV)” – Remember your place! (I am speaking to myself.) Do not be proud!
• People of God, do not be afraid. The Lord is in control and he is at work.

Leviticus 11

• Want to get to heaven on your own? Impossible. God is perfect and perfectly Holy, you have to be the same, to meet the required standard to be in the presence of the Great God, Creator, Alpha and Omega.
• No, “more or less good” will not be enough. Without Jesus, you have to follow every single detail.. And more! The law says do not kill, but actually in God’s standard, anger is just as bad. You have to follow every single detail, perfectly, for your whole life.
• This is not to frustrate you, this is reality. But being frustrated is not a bad thing. The Holy God, is also the God of love and the God of grace. Without blood, there can be no forgiveness of sins. And God provided the most precious blood, the perfect and holy blood, that covers a multitude of sins. Jesus, our Savior and Lord.
• What does Faith in Jesus mean? Why is it so important? It is important because it shows that we realize that God loves us, wants to have a personal relationship with us, wants to give us an abundant life by trusting in His ways and obeying His commands.

All this, from a chapter about which animals are clean and unclean.I would have never imagined God using a chapter like this to speak to me
greatly. Thank you Lord..

Psalms 104

• Praise God! For who He is, what He has done and what He is continuing to do!
• The earth, the trees and the animals, God takes care of them! And, as Jesus assured us, how much more will God take care of us?
